Anthony “Tony” Yacovetti
CEO and President
Tony was born and raised in Florida and has been an avid outdoors-man his entire life. He spends his “hobby” time fishing. His love for the outdoors made for a natural transition into his career with Sandhill Native Growers and Environmental Services. Tony understands the importance of a healthy Florida ecosystem and is continually educating himself on ways to improve areas of concerns. Through the placement of highly knowledgeable and dependable staff of 26, Tony strives to manage the balance of work and family life. Tony and his wife Summer have two beautiful children Eden, and Gabriel.
Chris Holly
Nursery Sales / Operations Manager
Chris graduated from University of Cincinnati in 2009 with a degree in Horticulture and is a certified arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture. The Sandhill nursery operation has expanded to include a 15,000 square foot greenhouse and 25 acres of plant production, which Chris oversees. Chris is the driving force behind the sales division of Sandhill Native Growers and is instrumental in ensuring quality nursery production.
Daphne Costa
Office Manager
Daphne was born and raised in Florida. Daphne’s has over 15 years of administrative experience and plans to use that experience to make sure Sandhill’s nursery and environmental operations run efficiently. She and her husband, Alex, have four children: Kristina, Lynn, Sabrina, and Connor. Daphne enjoys spending quality time with her family exploring the outdoors.
Ruben Mar
Project Foreman
Ruben has been with Sandhill since 2008 and oversees all environmental projects with a crew of 17. He holds his Commercial Pesticide Applicator License and continues to be an integral part of our daily operations. Ruben and his wife Norma have two children and enjoy spending quality family time outdoors at their small farm.
Jason Richmond
Project Manager
Jason graduated from the University of Florida in 2013 with a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and again in 2014 with a M.S. in Management. He also holds a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License for natural and wetland areas (Categories 21, 5A). Jason leads crews in our projects and ensures that the work is completed with quality and efficiency. Jason enjoys wildlife photography and the great outdoors.
Juan Mundo
Nursery Crew Leader / Logistics
Juan works at Sandhill’s Arcadia nursery maintaining day to day operations from quality production to logistics. He is the first face many customers meet during deliveries or nursery pickups. Being in the “green” industry for many years he continues to be a valuable asset to the company. Juan is happily married with two beautiful daughters and has resided in Arcadia for over 20 years.
